Chapter 5

Talon wanted nothing more than to vomit. He had never hurt so badly in his life. Seeing Tiana come for another man just about ripped his heart out. Knowing it was Chaos she was with just made it that much worse.

Turning, Talon left them there. Now wasn’t the time to argue, or to try to win Tiana’s heart. There would be time for that later. Right now, he needed to calm himself.

And let the Earth settle him down.

Wandering into the forest, he looked at everything around him. Most of the younger plants were in various stages of dying. Without Tiana, none of this would survive, including the rest of the planet. Earth had struggled on its own for far too long. He was now running out of time. Fast.

Still, he had to be patient. Now more than ever. Tiana had reached a critical point in her life. Everything she had learned to trust about herself in the last twenty years was being challenged.

The question was, could she withstand the pressure?

Ordinarily, Talon would say “absolutely” without batting an eye. But she was particularly vulnerable right now. She was in turmoil. Chaos had offered her a way to save Earth without engaging her emotions, and she was confused as hell. She could have what she wanted, without risking her heart. Or she could take a chance. She could find not only physical release, but eternal happiness. Real happiness.

Later.

He’d deal with that later.

Right now, he needed to center himself once again and prepare for the battle to come.

This was absolutely absurd. Chaos had left her to think on his proposal, and all she could do was follow Talon. He was hurting. Why the fuck she cared, she couldn’t say, but there it was.

After about an hour, she found him. He was lying on a bed of clover in a small clearing, the sun bathing his nude body. At first he lay there, one knee bent, arms behind his head not moving.

Tiana admired his body. He was truly magnificent. The man himself was magnificent. And he needed her. She felt that in the Earth, though she had ignored it until now. Even so, she wanted to deny him.

As she debated what to do, Talon shifted his position. Before her eyes, his cock swelled and thickened. He reached for it and grasped it, simply holding himself for a few seconds as if debating what he wanted to do.

Tiana held her breath.

And Talon began to stroke himself.

Muscles rippled across his body as he tensed with each stroke of his hand. Tiana could hear his moans of pleasure among the noise of the forest, and her heart rate accelerated.

She wanted Talon. There was no reason she had to give him her heart, and no reason she couldn’t have his body again. It was a body she was already addicted to.

Lust surged through her as she felt that same lust building within him. Earth took in a deep breath, reaching for Talon’s energy yet unable to use the energy it found.
